Yifang XIONG

Yifang is the co-founder of EHang, a global leading civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) company. He co-founded the company in 2014 and shortly thereafter led a hugely successful, $860,000 Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to launch EHANG’s flagship consumer drone, the GHOSTDRONE. In early 2016, Derrick oversaw the global debut of the EHANG 184, the world’s first Autonomous Aerial Vehicle. His leadership has also bolstered EHANG’s financials, subsequently propelling the company’s valuation to grow 100 times within just 16 months.

Derrick has had a long history of entrepreneurial success, starting at a young age. At 16, he earned a scholarship to study engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and later attended Fuqua School of business at Duke University. While at Duke, Derrick developed a social app called “Chapter,” which earned him a spot in Stanford’s Top 100 Student Entrepreneurs list in 2013. He was also in the 30u30 list by Forbes China in 2015.
